Summary:
Offering the most cushioning from any Brooks shoe, the Glycerin is perfect for high mileage runners or runners who need extra protection from the ground. The full-length BioMoGo midsole is what give this shoe it's extra bounce but it's not so soft that it detracts from the foot's natural heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA reacts differently to different feet thereby offering customized cushioning
Changes:
This is the first shoe to feature Brooks' new DNA cushioning system. The DNA material is made up of strands of individual molecules that react and adapt to the forces applied to it providing the right cushioning no matter your weight, speed, gait, or gender. Due to the nature of the DNA material the forefoot in the Glycerin 8 is more flexible ensuring a smoother heel-to-toe transition.

1. Brooks DNA : This new cushioning technology debuts in an anatomically shaped configuration in the heel and forefoot of the Glycerin® 8. DNA is the first ever cushioning system to actually respond accordingly to pressure exerted against it. This creates a completely customized ride for each individual and each run based on weight, speed, and force of impact. Brooks DNA is also manufactured out of fewer components than other cushioning systems, making it a more sustainable product
2.Overlays : We’ve moved from a strappy upper to a pliable midfoot saddle to improve the midfoot wrap and overall fit
3. Stability : Stability is improved with a one-piece midfoot shank (DRB® Accel) on the underside of the shoe between heel and forefoot, and a slightly wider outsole base.
4. Widths : You’ve asked for more widths and we’ve heard you. The Glycerin® 8 is offered in narrow and wide widths for the first time.

BIOMOGO – We’ve taken the long-lasting cushioning of our MoGo midsole and made it environmentally friendly. How, you ask? By adding a non-toxic, natural additive to the MoGo compound that encourages anaerobic microbes to munch away once it hits the landﬁll.

DRB ACCEL – Enhances tunable torsion of the midfoot. Shank-like thermoplastic devices vary from single units of a set modulus, to dual-unit versions of varied modulus (tuned with higher stiffness for medial support, the lateral side less stiff to smooth the ride).
