Summary:
The Elixir 5 takes Mizuno’s already light and fast
feel to the next level. This lightweight trainer will work
well as a performance shoe for most or as an everyday
trainer for the runner with superior biomechanics. The
Composite Double Wave adds just a touch of stability to the
Elixir while the Dynamotion Fit and Smooth Ride engineering
ensures this shoe won’t cause you any hang-ups from heel
strike to toe off. The G3 outsole gives this shoe a little
extra grip for those fast paced workouts or races.
Changes:
The Elixir 5 is equipped with a new Wave Plate
which gives the shoe a softer feel and slightly increased
medial support. The new Elixir also features the new AP+
midsole material which has a 10% increase in rebound
properties and recovers faster. Furthermore studies have
shown that AP+ breaks down about half as much as the AP
which was used in previous models. The bottom line is the
AP+ midsole will result in a bouncier, more responsive feel
in your shoes and they will last longer! |
