Summary:
The Nirvana packs a powerful punch of stability and cushioning without being bulky on the foot. The extra VS-1 cushioning compound in the forefoot and heel and the Full-length Composite Double Fan Wave for stability make this the perfect shoe for heavier or high-mileage runners. The Dynamotion Fit in the upper flows well with the natural movement of your feet while the Smooth Ride engineering encourages a natural transition from heel strike to toe off.
Changes:
The Nirvana 6 is an exciting new update, featuring a few minor but outstanding updates over the previous model. The most notable changes appear in the upper where the shoe receives a softer heel collar and a flex eyelet which improves the fit and feel in the heel and also grabs the heel more effectively. The Nirvana 6 also gets a new Ortholite sockliner. The new Nirvana also features the new AP+ midsole material which has a 10% increase in rebound properties and recovers faster. Furthermore studies have shown that AP+ breaks down about half as much as the AP which was used in previous models. The bottom line is the AP+ midsole will result in a bouncier, more responsive feel in your shoes and they will last longer! All these changes amount to a 0.5 ounce weight reduction as well.
